Warranty and Replacement Policy
Z Tags NLIS Tags
1. Warranty coverage
Datamars warrants that Z Tags NLIS HDX Tags supplied in Australia conform to applicable approved specifications and are free from defects in materials, workmanship and design. Verified defects attributable to Datamars may qualify for replacement, refund or other remedies, subject to applicable law and agreements.
The warranty covers verified product-related defects, including:
• Manufacturing or material defects affecting tag integrity.
• Structural failures attributable to manufacturing defects.
• Transponder failures or readability issues attributable to product defects.
• Products that do not comply with approved NLIS specifications.
2. Warranty and notification
The Agency or Customer, as applicable, must notify Datamars customer service in writing of any apparent defects, discrepancies or issues with delivered tags or applicators within five (5) business days of receiving the order.
Notification of hidden effects, being defects not reasonably discoverable upon delivery, the Customer should notify Datamars in writing within (5) business days of the date such given defect is discovered, and in any event no later than the applicable statutory time limit.
3. Assessment and exclusions
Datamars may request supporting evidence and inspect or test affected devices or applicators to verify the defect and determine its cause. Failures caused by incorrect application, failure to follow instructions, negligence, misuse or unauthorised modification may be excluded from this warranty, to the extent permitted by law.
Tag loss alone does not establish a manufacturing defect.
4. Replacement or refund
Where a defect attributable to Datamars is verified, Datamars will provide equivalent compliant replacement tags, a refund or another remedy as required by law or the applicable agreement. Replacement or refund will be processed within ten (10) business days of return of defective devices or relevant agency notification, as applicable.
Removal and retagging costs are assessed under applicable law.
5. Customer Complaints
All product-related complaints will be recorded and investigated in accordance with Datamars' quality management procedures and the applicable NLIS non-conformity and complaint management protocol.
Minor complaints will be targeted for closure within 28 business days. Significant or critical product failures will be escalated and reported in accordance with the applicable contractual requirements.
